The COVID-19 outbreak has been the worst virus outbreak in the history of mankind. As of now we have so much technological advancement but we are still unable to battle this virus. More than 7 million people have been affected, people are traumatised by the fear of contamination as all of us around the globe have this single name in our mouths, Corona, Corona Virus.

The sudden outbreak has made people take drastic actions to keep up with the time. People are helpless, confused and afraid of what lies ahead. Amidst all the chaos, a need for a universal identity is required for better communication which will aware and inform people about the contamination and will prevent that.

To design a caution symbol for the virus, I first started by deconstructing the brief to explore the requirements and the scope of explorations. Then I went through the existing hazard and warning symbols for creating an identity that would correspond to the existing symbols and system. Going through the hazard symbols made me realise that the virus is a bio-hazard in itself, so why not try exploring the possibilities with the symbol and the system? Going through the form psychology for logos and the history of the bio-hazard symbol lead me to realise that :

• Triangles convey excitement, risk and danger.

• The Bio-hazard symbol has been known for its easy recognition and recall ability. It is acceptable to people of various ethnic backgrounds and is not confused easily with other symbols.

• Triangular symbols will efficiently infuse with the existing system of hazard symbols.

These realisations lead me to explore further the concept of fusing the bio-hazard symbol to create an Informational Identity Program for Corona Virus or Covid-19.
